My wife and I have traveled extensively over the years. I retired from the Army as a CWOlll in special weapons. My last assignment was the nuclear weapons commader at Ft. Bliss, Texas, 1985(April Fool's day) no kidding! Worked in Civil Service as a GS 11 till I found out my Dad had terminal cancer. We left California(lived in Morro Bay, Pt. Hueneme and Simi Valley)in 1995.
We returned to our home in Huntsville, Alabama. Were we have continued our interests in antiques and the arts.
I fell 30 ft. to concrete while adjusting a satellite dish for a Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership in Lawrenceburg , Tennessee about 3 1/2 years ago!. I only broke 2 ribs and drove myself home after being checked out by the ER.
March 2nd I did an involuntary free fall from a ladder! Only 6 feet to concrete...but, I broke my hip. Had surgery asap and it was successful...only requiring a steel pin and 2 bolts! Took therapy at Health South; and, I now walk normally again without a cane of any kind! My wife says I have been working my guardian angels overtime.
So we both are going back to making 1 of a kind large stained glass panels based on her original paintings. I am a master solder and assembler and
she's the one who QC's each one we do. She assembles the glass to...but, like she says..I can certainly do it better and a lot faster.
We share our existence with 5 chows! Don't ask me HOW that HAPPENED...Puhlease!!!
We are into Carnival Glass and we produced a price trend guide for the collectors. Each edition was as big as some phone books and it gave the $$'s fiscal "nitty gritty" for a 5 year period!
It made it easy to know how to price the glass and not get "skunked" at auction, or when you were pricing a collection to buy.
