Orville "Ray" Wallace, 61, son of Genovee Wallace of Nebo and brother of Charles of Alton and Beverly Jr. of Bethalto, died Jan. 28, 2003, at Illini Hospital, Pittsfield.
Visitation and services were at Ward-Lummis Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Memorials to the family.

I just found this obit, sorry to be so late with a comment for Ray, he was a guy that had a good sense of humor and was very friendly to all. He used to help me in shop class as he was good at that type of thing and I was not, so I always remembered him for that and was grateful to him for getting a passing grade. I also sat close to him in Mr. Jacksons Geography class, We would get Mr. Jackson to talk about Robert Wadlow, that would take up most of the hour, much more interesting than what state coal came from. I thank Ray for being such a fun guy to be around and will always remember him.
