Ruth Ann Catherine "Ruthie" Moyer, 63, of Alton, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Eldercare N u r s i n g Home in Alton.

Born Aug. 23, 1941, in Alton, she was the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Berneda C. (Williams) Moyer.

She was employed as the operations manager at Sleepmatters Inc. in Belleville. She was an active member of Abundant Life Community Church in Alton, an avid gardener, enjoyed attending events at the Alton Little Theatre and will be remembered for her time spent with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by two brothers and. sisters-in-law, William E. and Verla Moyer of Alton and Gary D. and Susan Moyer of Newbury Park, Calif.; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna M.and Anthony Boelhauf of Wentzville; four nephews, Bill Moyer, Donald Moyer, Mike Moyer and Tony Boelhauf; seven nieces, Holly Knudsen, Darcy Read, Maria Fischer, Maria Moyer-Angus, Denise Irwin, Dawn Blaho and Stephanie Boelhauf; 10 great-nieces, four great-nephews, other extended family and many dear friends.

Visitation was at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton and services honoring her life  were at Abundant Life Community Church. Pastors Sam Henning and Justin Henning officiated.

Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton, followed by a dove release in

her memory.

Ruthie was 63 when she passed away March 8, 2005.

Ruth Ann was my marching buddy, both in AHS Color Guard and the East Alton Golden Angels Drum and Bugle corp. She was a super friend.
I'll miss her at the reunion.
