Theroel A Jenkins, Jr.

 

  Theroel Jenkins, Jr. died November, 1991. He was born September 21, 1942, the son of  Theroel A. Jenkins, Sr. and Geneva Mitchell Jenkins.

   He graduated from Alton Senior High School in 1960. In August of 1962, Theroel began military service in the US Navy, and served as a Marine in Vietnam.

 On December 16, 1972, at the age of 30, Theroel married Joyce M. Henderson in Los Angeles California.

 At the time of his father’s death in 1988, Theroel was living near his family in Vinita Park, a suburb of St. Louis MO.  

 He was buried on December 3, 1991 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Section Ss, Site 2571.

I didn't know Theroel personally, but I knew him when I saw him. He had one of those "cool dude" type hair-dos, all  piled up like the famous singing groups had. I believe he was an athlete, and that his family was rather important in town. His father or grandfather was a dentist or a doctor?  Not sure. He died too young whether it was right after high school or before the 1990s when we lost track of him. May he rest in peace.

If any of you have any more information, please let me know. We want to recognize all our deceased classmates somehow.
