Franklin lived on 6th street and was one of several that walked the TEN MILES to (and from) Lincoln School. I lived on 5th street and we always had others to catch up with as we made our way to school. He also played the violin and often would practice on his front porch. He was a very smart boy and the last that I heard about him, he was married and lived in Saudi Arabia.

I got to know Frank quite well in our senior year. We doubled dated and frequently hung out together after school. Frank was very smart, physically strong, and a little eccentric. I remember his parents had two Packard automobiles. The newer one was approximately a 1956 model and the second one was older. Until I got to know Frank I knew nothing about Packards. I found out they were very sophisticated cars with a number of high tech features that most other cars did not have at that time. Frank was a very nice guy that I enjoyed hanging out with and I am sorry that he is not still with us.
