Ann (McBride) Kenney

Mildred "Ann" Kenney, 70, died at 7:11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.
Born July 6, 1942, in Fairmont, W. Va., she was the daughter of Virgil and Violet (Marston) McBride.
She was a secretary for Southern Illinois Pathology Lab for over 20 years. On April 24, 1965, in Alton, she married Terry William Kenney. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2008.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Bridget Kenney of Godfrey and Jonathan and Jen Kenney of Godfrey, three grandchildren, Riley, Jackson and Addison, and one brother, Michael McBride of Alton.
Visitation was Friday, July 27, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28. Reverend Jerry MeCaskey officiated. Burial was at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the 5A's Animal Shelter, St. Anthony's Hospital, or the Crisis Food Center.

Sorry to hear of Ann's passing. We were friends all throughout school from Horace Mann, through East junior and on to Alton High. When I worked summers during college at Owens Illinois-Godfrey, she worked there too. I called her Millie. Not sure anyone else called her that. Rest in peace Millie.
