I went to school with Herman from Horace Mann to East Jr. to Alton High. He had one of the best "Duck Tails" in school.  He was always nice to me, and I liked him. When I finally connected with his younger sister Sherry to ask about Herman's life after AHS, she was a lovely person to visit with. It was clear that she loved her brother. I invited her to the reunion, but the timing was off. Maybe in five years she'll come and help us remember Herman.
