            Mary Ann Rynders, 64, died at 10:05 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2005, at her residence. She was born April 21, 1940, in Alton to Raymond H. and Edna L. (Carter) Dooley.

            She married Michael W. Rynders, March 25, 1995 in Alton. He survives. She worked for the Alton Medical Group and the Wiseman Law Firm. She retired in 1998 from the U.S. District Court, where she was a deputy clerk.

            She enjoyed cooking, golfing and boating. She was a member of the VFW Post 1308 Ladies Auxiliary, the Alton American Legion Post 126 Auxiliary, the Madison County Legal Secretaries Association and the Alton Motorboat Club. She regularly volunteered for school functions for her grandchildren and for various charities.

            In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and his wife, Justin and Adria Neudecker of Godfrey; two stepsons and their wives, Eric and Jackie Rynders of Springfield and Brian and Leslie Rynders of Godfrey; two grandchildren, Austin and Kelsi Neudecker of Godfrey; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Diana and Cecil Macias of Alton, Janice and Michael Lux of Godfrey and Linda Tomerlin of Jacksonville, IL; a brother John Dooley of Fosterburg; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great-nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew Neal Yenne; and two nieces, Amy Lynn Lux and Elizabeth Stein-Dawdy.

            Visitation and services were at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial was private at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association.
