I liked Sis Brown so much.  She was fun, lively, nice, and a very good friend.  She was in my mother's scout troop; Sandy Frazier and I usually walked with Sis to East Junior when it was on Washington Ave; and she was such a lovely girl.  I had wished to see her again this side of heaven.  I wanted to tell her how much I appreciated her and her friendship in school. I missed that opportunity,  but I hope to see her on the other side where we are promised we will see our loved ones and friends. My heartfelt sympathy to her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a dear, special lady and she will be missed.

Rest in peace, Miriam!  I wonder if you ever knew what a crush I had on you when we were at Horace Mann Grade School.  I thought you were the most wonderful girl I knew.  Now, it's been nearly 60 years since I saw you, and you've had a husband and six children.  I hope you had a happy life.  You certainly deserved one.
