Ronald Bailey

I was employed 45 years in the specialty steel industry. I became Vice President of Jessop Steel Company and retired as Manager of Product Development for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company where I developed over 50 new products which comprise the bulk of the Washington Plant's profitable products.
My wife Kathleen and I were married in 1982. We are the parents of two daughters and one grandson. Meghan worked at Fast Eddie's and earned a BS at SIUE. She married Chris Clark who graduated from Alton HS. They now reside in Pittsburgh. She is a manager at Merrill Lynch and he is regional manager at Curtze Foods. Kaitlin resides in Napa, CA and works in the wine industry.

My general memory is that I received at excellent education at Alton HS which allowed me to obtain a BS at University of Illinois and an MS at Carnegie Mellon University.
I fondly remember Friday night poker gatherings with Dick Brecht, Jerry Montague, Jim Hatcher, Art Greenwood, Richard Skinner and Errol Hauhe.
I took Nancy Pickens to the senior prom. In 1965 when I was a student at CMU, I was at a night spot in the Shadyside section of Pittsburgh. In the distance I heard a familiar, feminine voice. When I turned my head to see who it was, I was shocked to see Nancy Pickens. We reminisced.
