So many classmates "In Memory"
Posted Wednesday, February 17, 2010 09:20 AM

Hi everyone,

I was shocked by the number of classmates that have died. We have so little information on most of them at the moment. It would be great if anyone who has verifiable info on one or more of these would post it for the rest of us. It's really a huge job for one person. Let's help Jane make this a true memorial to our friends and classmates. What a wonderful opportunity this site is for us to do that.

Blessings,

Marilyn Hope Waide Lake

 Marilyn

Thanks so much for noticing and reacting to those of us we can only visit "In Memory."  One of my hopes for this website is that we can list as much specific information as possible about our deceased members.  So to all, if you have any details, or if you're willing to google names to find possible obits out there, please let me know.

And everyone, please help me keep info accurate.

Thanks, Jane

I had heard long ago that Jeff Logan died in Viet Nam, but when I visited the memorial in Washington DC last January, I coudn't find his name in the book.  I did find Steve Childers' name on the wall and paid my respects to him.  Does anybody know if Jeff was in Viet Nam?

Also, my locker partner from junior high school, Frank Woodfall, was killed on his motorcycle in 1961.  I remember that my mother sent me the story from the newspaper during my first year in college.  Frank may not have graduated with us, however.  He may have dropped out.

Another classmate who died was Bob Kroger.  I believe he dropped out before graduation to join the Marines.  A troubled boy, he was discharged from the Marines and lived on the edge until he was shot to death in a roadhouse somewhere in Illinois.  This was in the late '60s.  I was very close to him because he was a babe magnet and it really hurt to see him go down that path.  He was just another irresponsible, loveable kid who went too far.

David,  I have finally, after finding all but six of our deceased classmates, have come back to this page. I was so new at all this when I began. I am going to follow up on a couple of classmates who may not have graduated that were mentioned here.

But, I don't think I ever thanked you properly for all the information you put up  here for me to use. Please forgive me for this oversight and accept my deepest thanks for your help.

Blessings, Marilyn

P.S You might be interested in the new info on  Frank Woodfall. See In Memory

Dear Don,

Could Robert Kroger's name have been spelled Kroeger? Thank for the help.
